Tequilas y cervezas y margaritas - oh mi! Just like St. Paddy's day, a day on which every person between the ages of 18 and 54 suddenly turns Irish for a day, Cinco de Mayo brings out the inner-Mexicano in all of us.

While re-appropriating culturally significant holidays and converting them to piss-poor facsimiles based on generic stereotypes is a time honored American tradition, we have decided to screw it up even more by not doing anything fun at all. Instead we are simply going spend the day fattening ourselves up by chugging fifths of mayo and we want you to join us! Sounds fun, right?

It only gets better, because we were just kidding about the condiments.

We will hit a few cantinas on this 5 hour tour, but we will also be hitting a few of our favorite out of the way dives for good old fashioned American shots of Te-kill-ya and lime throttled bottles of Corona.

Ditch those sweet things you call kids at home and come join Portland Short Bus for a day of Urban Wine Tasting. For all the MOTHERS in the house, this day is for celebrating YOU, and what better way to thank yourself than with a little "Mommy's Helper?" (AKA WINE). Our tour is just under 5 hours long and you never even have to leave the comforts of Portland. Speaking of comforts, did I mention you can drink booze, eat snacks, and listen to tunes on the bus (can you say adult music?). So come relax and drink wine on a squeaky short bus this Mother's Day - we'll do the driving.

*Purchase of ticket does not include food or tasting fees. Tastings fees vary at each winery but range between $5-10, and are usually refundable with bottle purchase. Consider purchasing a PDX Urban Wine Passport for even greater deals.

Here at Portland Short Bus, we strive to predict the weather with at least half the accuracy of your friendly neighborhood meteorologist, and we can say with confidence that it may or may not rain this Saturday, and if it does, it might be the last day of rain for the summer. Maybe. What is our secret to this startling accuracy? We can't tell you exactly, but we can tell you this: we dip our magic meteorite in a glass of Pinot Noir and it whispers the secret to us. You and 11 other random strangers are invited to hop on our bus Lucille to spend this possibly sunny, possibly wet Saturday drinking fine local Portland wines and soaking up the rays/precipitation at 4 of our favorite PDX Urban Wineries. This is a casual wine tour, no high-falutin' fancy pantsy swishing and spitting here, feel free to be as sexy or casual as you want. Chew gum and drink Merlot for all we care, it is getting out there that counts.
